A warning about a new blatant scam — the BTCflash project — has appeared on the Bitcointalk forum. A user under the nickname tvplus006 created a thread exposing the platform as a classic Ponzi scheme. The scheme promises investors a fantastic return — 200% in just 14 days. The author provided all the necessary proof: a link to the scammer's thread itself and Whois data confirming that the domain was registered only a couple of months ago. He also initiated a trust flag to warn other users.

In the comments, experienced forum members unanimously supported the initiative. According to user hugeblack, a promise of 200% in 14 days means only one thing: you will lose your deposit the very second you transfer it to the scammer's address. User PostQuantumBTC bitterly noted that people who fall for such tricks watch too much TikTok and are completely unwilling to learn how to recognize scams, even though information online is plentiful.

User Shishir99 shared a real-life story: the other day, a relative of his called to ask about an investment of $3,000–$6,000 promising 10% profit monthly. He explained to her that such platforms pay out money to their first clients to create an illusion of trust, and end up deceiving everyone. User Coyster also chimed in, noting that in their announcement the scammers can't even clearly explain the essence of their "product", which is in itself a huge red flag.

So why do newbies still fall for such unrealistic promises? According to user Rikafip, people who believe bitcoin is magic money keep pouring into crypto. Combined with stories of getting rich quick, they start believing that 200% is entirely realistic. And user Hatchy honestly admitted that early in his crypto journey he himself fell for similar cloud mining schemes, concluding that human greed and the desire for a free ride often get the better of common sense.
