Dark Matter Protocol — empty contract, big promises

A warning about a new project, Dark Matter Protocol, has popped up on the forum. The OP, user albon, stumbled across it in the Service Announcements (Altcoins) section, where the announcement was posted by a brand-new account, rdytobash — the thread went up on October 6, 2026.

What's the deal?

The project pitches itself as a DeFi protocol on Robinhood Chain with an ID of 4663, but it has nothing to do with the well-known company Robinhood. On top of that, the site hangs off a subdomain — darkmatter.rdytobash.tech — which is already sketchy on its own.

The scheme is simple: they want 0.25 ETH per ticket, and in return they promise a 10% cut of the protocol's fees plus earnings on ETH and stocks. Here's how the project's author, rdytobash, describes the idea himself: pass holders get a proportional share of the revenue, and he compares the protocol to a revenue-sharing slot machine — the more volume, the more you make. Sounds nice, but promises like that are a classic red flag.

What the numbers say

So far, the claims don't line up with reality:
- The contract holds just 0.000004 ETH — about $0.01 — and has only 5 transactions to its name. Nowhere near the claimed activity.
- On OpenSea, the collection has just 3 unique owners and zero trading volume.
- The team is fully anonymous, and no independent security audit could be found.

According to albon, he wouldn't recommend connecting your wallet to the site, let alone signing any transactions.

The forum didn't waste any time. User Trêvoid thanked albon and said the project is very likely a scam. He also mentioned he'd reported the thread through Bitcointalk.

Bitcoin_Arena chimed in with an observation: the site was clearly thrown together with AI, and the domain name itself is the biggest giveaway. In his words, people already got burned by stuff like this back in the ICO days, the airdrops, the memecoin and NFT hype — and most of them, you'd think, learned their lesson.

To that, coupable rightly replied that the hunger for quick and easy money is part of human nature, which is why the old traps keep working. The techniques change, but the essence stays the same, and FOMO never gets old: new generations of gullible users will keep falling for the next set of traps — ones that are now designed with AI. He also gave albon a special shoutout for the find.

A textbook picture: an anonymous team, a site on a subdomain, promises of passive income — and at the same time an empty contract with five transactions. Until there's an audit and real activity, any interaction with Dark Matter Protocol is a risk of losing your 0.25 ETH — and then some. Steer clear.
