A warning about a new phishing scheme related to the RingGo parking payment service has appeared in the r/Scams community. According to the post's author, victims receive SMS messages from Moroccan numbers claiming that the parking payment was not fully processed. The text threatens users with administrative consequences if they do not settle the fictitious debt immediately.
To make the payment, scammers provide a link to a fake website, ringgo.ptmxr.cloud/com, which merely mimics the official RingGo domain. According to the author, the scammers use a specific trick to bypass smartphone spam filters: they ask the recipient to reply to the message with the letter "Y", close and reopen the SMS to activate the link, or manually copy and paste the address into the Safari browser. The main goal of this scheme is to trick the victim into visiting the fake page and entering their payment details, which will inevitably lead to the theft of funds or personal information.
