Out of curiosity, he registered there himself and saw $3,450 on his virtual balance. To withdraw the money, the system asked for the recipient's name, bank name, and card number, but the author of the post decided to stop, as the offer seemed too good to be true.

In the comments, users immediately explained the catch. According to users teratical and Applauce, the friend's Instagram account was hacked after he downloaded a stealer virus. The Goefox website turned out to be a fake casino created just five days ago, and the money in the balance is simply fake digits controlled by scammers.

If the author had tried to withdraw these funds, he would have fallen into a trap. According to users WickedWeedle and Bucky2015, as soon as the victim enters their card details, scammers immediately start demanding payment for endless fake fees and taxes. In reality, they are simply stealing banking details and trying to extract real money from the person.

The author of the post was lucky that he didn't enter anything. According to user AskMTS, since he left his email address during registration, he should expect a flood of spam, and for security reasons, it is best to change passwords and enable two-factor authentication on all his accounts.
