Users are reporting a wave of scams through hacked Discord accounts, where links to fake online casinos supposedly created by popular blogger MrBeast are sent out on behalf of friends. User You_Some wrote that they received a link to the resowin website while half-asleep and carelessly registered there, entering their primary email. In the comments, they were told that it is impossible to delete an account from a fraudulent site.
Users note that the main goal of such sites is to trick a person into making a real deposit. According to user SoFnSkittles, scammers credit a fake $2,500 to the balance, but require a $200 transfer for verification in order to withdraw. User Hot_Emotion_4759 added that they fell for a similar scheme on the Ruxowu website: they were credited $3,000 using a promo code, the balance grew to $100,000, but a $100 deposit was required to withdraw, and they also entered their bank card details. Now they will have to urgently block their card.
However, if a person simply left their email, as the author of the post did, no money will be stolen. According to user mittenknittin, a real threat only arises when attempting to transfer money or entering card details. However, as user Applauce notes, a flood of spam may now rain down on that email address. User thedankonion1 strongly advises enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) and changing passwords if they have been used across multiple sites.
