In the r/CryptoScams community, a user reached out for help to verify the legitimacy of the platform where their father had started trading. According to the post's author, the communication was conducted via Telegram with a certain Vera Carter, representing the "Vane Matrix Academy". The scammers convinced the victim to use the KYBCR exchange and participate in the beta testing of the VAS AI token, showing fake reports of a daily profit of 10-30%.
According to user UpbeatFix7299, the Kyberbit exchange is a website entirely controlled by scammers, and Vera Carter is a fabricated persona. He emphasized that everyone in the group, except for the victim, are bots. The main goal of the attackers is to show a huge, unrealistic profit on the screen in order to then extract real money under the pretext of paying "taxes" and "fees" for withdrawing funds.
According to user East-Map-3094, the kyberbit domain was updated just a day before the check and is registered in Hong Kong. He also noted that the VAS AI token does not exist at all, and out of the 8,000 claimed group members, in reality, there is only one person—the victim themselves. According to user Jenn2895, promises of guaranteed profits on days when the market is down are a clear sign of a pig butchering scam, where male scammers communicate with the victim posing as attractive women.
