In the r/Scams community, user jolene1986 shared a warning about the fraudulent website Perlikal. Looking for an inexpensive stretch board through Google Shopping, she ordered an item for $11.99. The website looked professional, and an initial search didn't reveal any negative information. However, shortly after the payment, which was processed by an unknown company called "Groksby Inc", an additional $400 and $300 were charged to the user's card for a purchase on a furniture website. The funds were recovered through the bank, but the ordered item was never shipped, and customer support does not respond to calls or emails.

An automatic domain check by the ScamsBot showed that the domain was registered 10 years ago, but scammers often buy old domains to create new scam projects, and they also use CloudFlare to hide the actual location of their servers. According to user doublelxp, a check through the Wayback Machine confirms that until February of this year, there was nothing on the site except a placeholder page.

In the comments, users identified other red flags. According to user AskMTS, Perlikal's Instagram account has been deleted, and their Pinterest leads to a similar scam called Hyrodcom, which uses AI-generated images for fake products. According to user Jealous_Raspberry536, the UK office address and US warehouse address listed on the website are actually residential homes, and there is no record of Perlikal in the official UK companies registry (Companies House). User MultiFazed emphasized that the absence of negative reviews in a search does not guarantee the honesty of a new store, as fraudulent websites appear daily and initially have no history on the internet.
