The post's author received an email from a fake recruiter for a Web3 gaming company with a job offer. Visually, the company's website and LinkedIn profile looked legitimate, but checking the sender's email address revealed the catch: the attackers used a technique called typosquatting, adding an extra letter "s" to the domain (metaspacechains instead of the original metaspacechain).

According to user FindingEmergency7055, the scheme was especially insidious because it used a redirect. When attempting to open the fake link in the Chrome browser, it automatically redirected to the real company's official website, making the resource seem genuine and safe.

The author of the post emphasized that this is a classic fraudulent mailing campaign disguised as recruiting, aimed at stealing applicant's personal data or access to their crypto wallets. They urge users to always carefully verify the exact domain in the sender's email address, rather than simply clicking on website links.
