Fake Toad-Coin airdrop

A warning about a new phishing scheme targeting digital asset holders, disguised as the TOAD cryptocurrency project, has appeared in the crypto community. Scammers have created a fake website mimicking the official platform and are luring users with the promise of a generous token giveaway. The attackers allegedly allocated 65.15% of the total token supply to this fake airdrop. To participate, the victim is asked to connect their crypto wallet to check their eligibility to receive the coins, which inevitably leads to the theft of funds.

TOAD

The fake resource can be distinguished from the original by cross-referencing with the project's official channels, the links to which are posted on the TOAD page on the CoinMarketCap service. Currently, the official TOAD representatives have not announced any airdrops, which makes any offers to receive free tokens from unofficial sources a 100% scam.

Additional risks associated with the TOAD project itself. An analysis of the smart contract on the De.Fi platform revealed the presence of high-risk items (High Risk Items), and the token's overall security score was only 47 out of 100. This casts doubt not only on the fake giveaway but also on the reliability of the original asset itself, into which inexperienced users plan to invest.
