So there's a post over on r/Scams about a remote "app optimization" job scheme where the scammers are hiding behind someone else's brand.
Here's the deal, according to the OP, u/rhymehasreason: the "recruiting" went down through some anonymous "mentor" on WhatsApp pretending to be a support rep. The victim was told to do easy routine tasks in a personal dashboard you could only get into with an invite code. The balance on the platform kept climbing fast, so it looked like you were actually making decent money — but the second you tried to cash out, the site said you had to throw in your own deposit first to "unlock" your funds.
The whole thing lives on bluewheeldi***.com, plus a tech address at bluewheel-sub.lova***.app. As u/rhymehasreason points out, the domain was registered on September 16, 2026 — so it's barely six weeks old. The site was slapped together on Lovable and ripped off its name from a real Detroit marketing agency called Blue Wheel, which has zero to do with any of this. The OP also says he's already fired off complaints to the registrar Name.com, to Lovable (the host), to Google Safe Browsing and Microsoft SmartScreen, and filed a report with the US FTC (case #209287237).
In the comments, folks were quick to point out how cookie-cutter the whole thing is. Salty_Dugtrio's take: it's your run-of-the-mill task scam — the service's name doesn't matter one bit and changes pretty much daily. too_many_shoes14 chimed in too, saying it's the same old script everyone's known forever, and that people really should get it by now: nobody's paying easy money for super basic tasks. But folks keep zoning out and falling for it anyway.
The OP says his friend spotted the pattern and didn't pay a dime. The complaints have already gone out to Name.com, Lovable, Google Safe Browsing, Microsoft SmartScreen, and the FTC — report number 209287237. No screenshots in the thread; the proof is the post itself and the FTC case number. His bottom line: if a "job" shows you earnings you can't withdraw without paying up, walk away before the first deposit, not after.
